Diagnostic checks of the Easter Bunny Tracker system have been completed.

Our team has now begun testing of the Easter Bunny Tracker system which is scheduled to begin tracking the Easter Bunny as early as 5 AM Eastern Time (2 AM Pacific Time) on Easter Eve morning, Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Our high-tech Easter Bunny Tracker system, incorporates a range of advanced technologies including a space based radio navigation system, computer systems, remote capabilities, detection systems, and of course, hundreds of volunteers out in the field and at our headquarters.  The Easter Bunny Tracker system includes software and sophisticated servers, which run millions of lines of code.

The system has already gone through a successful boot up, as well as diagnostic checks.

As the system gets ready to go online in a matter of days, testing is underway. The Easter Bunny Tracker is already more than 75-percent ready to go online and will be ready well ahead of Easter 2017.

Our team of technicians is running diagnostic checks of the Easter Bunny Tracker system right now. There’s quite a bit of work involved in making sure everything is working properly. That’s because tracking the Easter Bunny involves more than just a computer information system. There’s a huge team of personnel that makes this happen each and every year. It is a global effort with hundreds of volunteers committed to tracking the Easter Bunny out in the field and at our headquarters.

The system checks involve a series of inspections to confirm the computer system is working as it should be and that it is safe and ready for use on Easter weekend. Running the diagnostic checks gives our team time to address any problems found.
